Programs / Demos for the
Adaptive Constraint Satisfaction Project

Constraint Satisfaction Research Group
University of Essex

There is a number of utility and demonstration programs for the Adaptive Constraint Satisfaction Project.

Algorithm Comparison and Evaluation (ACE) System
Users can use this tool to run experiments to evaluate a non-trivial number of algorithms and heuristics
Unix (SunOS 4.1) version
Windows version

Adaptive Search Algorithm (ASA) Demo
Windows demo which allows the users to change the level of lookahead and intelligent backtracking dynamically and observe a number of monitors on the performance of the algorithm

Genbcsp Program
Windows version of a program which generates random binary constraint satisfactions for experimental purpose

Node Traversal Cost (NTC) Monitor (program demo)
Unix (SunOS 4.1) sample program showing how monitors can be built under our architecture

Reduced Exceptional Behaviour Algorithm (REBA) Demo
Program demonstrating an adaptive constraint satisfaction strategy which uses the fast-first principle
Unix (SunOS 4.1) version
Windows version
