Tung Leng LAU studied his PhD in the Department of Computer Science, University of Essex from 1995 to 1998. He invented the Guided Genetic Algorithm, an extension of both Guided Local Search and Genetic Algorithms, in the constraint satisfaction research Group at University of Essex.

Dr Lau is now working in commerce in Taiwan. iabox is an embedded devices design company; it designs stuff like wireless PDAs.
