Pouyan Dinarvand

Winner of the Best MSc Project Presentation Prize, 2016; Sponsor: Lykke

Centre for Computational Finance and Economic Agents (CCFEA)

MSc students from CCFEA presented their project proposals on 7th July 2016. Both Dr Yi Cao and I believe that standard of the presentation was very high. It was a hard decision to choose a winner. After discussion, Dr Cao and I have agreed to give the MSc Project Presentation Prize to Pouyan Dinarvand. We found his idea sound, and he presented them clearly. His speech was audible, his voice was audible and there was a lot of eye contact with the audience.

On Pouyan's request, we are giving him a copy of “How to Create a Mind: The Secret of Human Thought Revealed” by Ray Kurzweil. He has also received a prize of 1,000 Lykke coins (about US$50 at today's exchange rate) -- thanks to Dr Richard Olsen, founder of Lykke. Pouyan has also received a certificate from CCFEA (of course it is electronic -- we are a technology Centre).

Congratulations to Pouyan!

Epilogue

Pouyan submitted his MSc in September 2016, which obtained a distinction:
